Ammonium heptamolybdate

Ammonium heptamolybdate is a colorless or pale yellow-green columnar crystal. It dissolves in 2.3 parts of water and is insoluble in ethanol. It decomposes upon contact with acid. When heated to 90℃, it loses one molecule of crystalline water. It decomposes when heated to 190℃. The relative density is 2.498.

Boric acid

Boric acid is visually identifiable as a white odorless solid. However, as visual identification is often the least accurate in identifying a substance with accuracy, boric acid is usually identified by its solubility in water and 185℃ melting point using a combination of solute separation techniques and fractional distillation. Boric acid will degrade through dehydration into metaboric acid and tetraboric acid at 171℃ and 300℃, respectively. The density is 1.435g/mL. Its melting point is 185℃.

Calcium chloride dihydrate

Calcium chloride dihydrate has a bitter and astringent taste and is highly hygroscopic. Its relative density is 1.835. It is soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is neutral or slightly alkaline and corrosive. It dissolves in alcohols but does not dissolve in ethers. When heated to 260℃, it loses water to form an anhydrous substance. Its other chemical properties are similar to those of anhydrous calcium chloride.

Copper sulphate pentahydrate

Copper sulfate is blue and odorless. It gives off moisture when exposed to air. Copper sulfate is classified for shipping purposes as a hazardous substance or hazardous waste. It may pose unreasonable risk to health, safety, or property, when transported. Copper sulfate is highly corrosive to plain steel, iron and galvanized pipes. The density is 2.286g/cm3. Its melting point is 110℃ and boiling point is 330℃.
